My ENT Said Never Have Ears Syringed If You Have Type II TN

Last summer I had my ears syringed when I told my GP I had pressure and pain in my left ear. There started 9 months of agony. I hardly wanted to lay my head down in bed. I hated going out in the cold and or wind. The pain was unrelenting. I suspected Type II but my GP did not know and sent me to ENT. There I had my ear vacuumed and the specialist told me to never again have a syringe anywhere near my Type II side.

I thought I would pass this on to you and save any of you the agony I have had.

Wow, I didn't even know you could do that, or what a syringe is? But it does not sound like fun.. and the vacuum sounds loud.. Owwww. I am sorry you had to go through all of this Jackie. :( Min

Min, the syringe has no needle. It pumps water through. The vacuum is very tiny and not painful. Neither procedure was anywhere near as painful as Type II is.Thanks friend x

What's sad is that so few doctors even accept type II (atypical) as a real disease. their WRONG medical books say it's psychosomatic. Never met a Dr. yet either who knew about any other symptom than the electrical shocks, and we all know there's more to it than that. Thanks for the warning. I've never heard of that procedure so maybe they do something different in N. America.
