MS and TN and being Atypical and heading to a TN progressive disease?

These days I am becoming more unsure about where my situation is heading. This is the second year I am having to increase my Carbamazepine(Tegretol) to 900 mg . Being MS with lesions in my brain sending bad signals to my right side of my face and now my left. I have been on Tegretol going on six years of my life. Keeping me out of terror most of those years. Now I am afraid I will have no where to turn. Are there any other medications I will be able to go to .To keep my terror away?

What saved me, adding meds with Lidocaine Patches on my face! Here is also a list of 40+ poll I did here for favorite meds!

Yes TN is progressive.... but there are still many meds, and meds combos, topical creams, and for some, medical marijuana.... there is hope!!!

I think in the groups tab above -- there is support group here for MS.

Hope this stuff helps! IF your doctor isn't a TN guru - your doctor should consult with one so you can get the best treatment...

Thank you for your information. I live in Montana and in my town there are only three Neuro's and I have been getting my med's thru my family physician.
