Hemicrania continua and trigeminal neuralgia

Hi all, after being treated for trigeminal neuralgia and having an MRI that confirms that a vascular loop is resting on the left trigeminal nerve and still having ongoing pain mainly around eye area, the neurologist is now thinking I am exhibiting signs of hemicrania continua as well as trigeminal neuralgia. Does anyone here suffer from both? So frustrating as symptoms overlap one another a little - so its hard to tell which are which!

Mel,

Hemicrania continua is characterized by constant one-sided headache pain without let-up. If you actually have hemicrania continua, you will probably be tried on Indomethicin. If the one-sided headache responds positively to this medication, that will tend to confirm the diagnosis. If not, then you probably don't have it. See
