I received a copy of my neurologists letter yesterday. It now says he thinks i have post traumatic V3 neuropathy, and facial migraine. I beleive from reading that the v3 is the mandible. Does this still mean ATN............confused..............
TN1 is like lightning bolts…strikes to the face. Off and on.
ATN is burning , non stop pain.
Need a 2nd opinion by a doctor?
I'm not sure Dancer. My ATN is deep numbness with or without aching. It was also wrongly diagnosed as facial migraine 20 odd years ago. I never have burning pain.
Hi catwoman. Mine is burning but i dont always have the non stop pain in face.I always have some kind of pain in mouth though. If that went away for a day im sure i would be very happy......I think and feel many of us have had a wrong diagnosis and am finding out for myself all the different stuff i am told at the hospital. However it kind of goes down the same sort of route
