MY ENT SAYS NEURONTIN WILL HELP MY UPPER BACK TEETH PAIN CONDITION. ANY ADVICE?
I have been on Neurontin for years for neuropathy, then got the TN diagnosis. It did not help my teeth pain at all. I was put on tegratol. which did help but only for a little while. Hope this information helps in some way. Good luck to you, remember everyone reacts to medicine a different way. Take care.
I was put on Neurontin recently for my TMD or TN no diagnosis. I see my ENT and a dental specialist. I have a stint that seems to work some. My ENT did put in a tube to help the pressure feeling. That did help. Then ENT did put me on the Neurontin starting of slow with 100 mg 1 time a day for 3 day, 100 2 times a day for 3 days and finally 100 mg 3 times a day. I did not notice any change. After 3 weeks I went back for an appointment noted that is seemed what little I read for success was significantly higher dosage. He noted one of the side effects from Neurontin is drowsiness. He change me to 300MG two times a day. The first dosage knocked me out but it might have been because of other anxiety meds but the jaw pain subsided. The problem is the burning ear has stayed . I am not sure what is causing it. But it is working well except for the intermittent burning ear problem.
